With the weather giving us a battering, it’s been a tough week training wise. With the coaches starting to push slighty harder sets on us, there have been some big improvements from people since Christmas. The next big race will be the Bath Half Marathon. Let’s hope we don’t get a repeat of last year!
The event team are working on the Big T event, which is moving forward without to many problems.
Wednesday night turbo is something we need to look into as a club. The numbers have dropped off but we don’t really wont to get rid of this session as we are a tri club and biking is big part so any ideas about how to move forward let us know. These turbo sessions are particularly important in the winter and it’s good to train together and keep pushing ourselves forward, as well as focussing on technique. For newer members, these are a great way to improve, gain confidence and prepare for the better weather. Plus stay for the swim session and make it a really good brick session – greater for improving stamina too!
This weekend Rob A put in a 10k effort at the hilly Longleat race. The weather was not on their side with strong winds making for a tough morning’s work.
