Weekly Roundup 18/2/2019

With the mild weather it was time to get out and on it training wise, with the long distance people putting in some big mileage and short distance pushing the pace up.

With only a few months until the first Club tri event of the year. With Calne only just up the road and a good discount given to the Club, there’s no reason not to give it a go for both seasoned and new triathletes. Most will race Calne and then help with the marshalling for the Big T the day after.

With some transition skills training at Odd Down cycle track with Nick coming up, this will give you all the tools needed to have a good season this year and brush up on skills not used since last October for many of us.

Well done to Kirk L for getting to Castle Comb for the chilly 10k held by DBmax. He managed to hit a new PB for the distance. It’s good to see him coming back into the form after a few little niggles last year.

The Juniors split into 2 groups on Sunday: the Tristars were with Nick C and Ashley H & Bryan T took the teenagers out on the bikes, practising riding two abreast and making the most of the weather and local countryside. Great to see safe riding skills shown by all and some opportunities to ride at pace which were snapped up!
