Club Catch Up

Its been a while since the last club round up so here's a few things to catch up on.

We kicked off the season back in April with Wincanton Triathlon, seeing a few of our chillis head to head for the infamous 'Toby cup'! A hard challenging course with some great results, including our chairman Nick Cranston taking 1st place in his age category.

May has approached and first to start the month was Oldbury Tri, a club targeted event, Saturday saw the juniors racing, some fantastic results bought home. Sunday we headed out in force again, where 9 chillis laid down some awesome speed on a very fast course. Bobby James bought home a 1st in his category and 4th overall, with more great results from the rest of us.

Next up was the event of the year, the BIG T!! Overall a fantastic event which was a huge success seeing over 280 athletes take part. A huge THANK YOU to all who helped out or marshalled on the day and anyone who gave endless help building upto the event, the support has been amazing and is indeed appreciated! Next years event is already live and kicking, so if you fancy giving us a hand to do it all again then the help will be much appreciated, that includes all you chilli athletes who have already raced this tri, we need your help too!

This weekend has been rather busy for chillis too!

Nick Cranston headed to ST Neots for a fast course which bought out some super fast athletes, Nick came in at 21st in age category, an awesome achievement, Well done Nick!

Martin Disney, Richard Blisset and Nicole Jackson all become immortal! Taking on Stourhead immortal Tri on Sunday, what an event, well done guys!

The juniors have been hard at it, smashing their training sessions every Sunday either at Clarendon or Odd down, showing some great progress with true potential leaking through, making the future of the club look bright and exciting.

  1. The Big T also showed success for Harry Webb, being the youngest winner of the Big T plus a great event for Andy Nokes winning the senior event.

    well done Chilli’s
